Is this a person?

Letter to the editor;

[photo of a baby -- photoshopped to appear unborn]

This is not a person. It is all right to, um, ah, “terminate” it as long as it is still in its mother’s womb. The greatest living legal minds have conferred and agreed on this.

(Actually, this baby has already been born. The photo is a hoax designed to make you believe it is an “intrauterine” picture. But you don’t get a blue background there.)

The politicians have come out four-square for the right to, um, “choose” to abort. We should certainly give some respect to the conclusions of our Beloved Leaders.

You who look at this picture are insane out of your mind, because as soon as you saw it, you said, “A baby!” -- not “A parasite!” You wanted to love and care for this child -- not to dump its bloody, broken body into the incinerator around back of some abortuary.

Pray for life

Pray about abortion-politics

Letter to the editor;

We have laws against murder. Every nation severely punishes unlawful killing. Even a violent criminal may not be killed by a private citizen except in the very act of committing a dangerous felony.

Almost two generations ago our Beloved Leaders decided to ignore six thousand years of recorded history, law and tradition – and permit the deliberate slaughter of anyone who has not yet been born.

Now, babies in the womb are not puppies or kittens, but small-size human children.

Since then, all nice and legal, about forty million small-size human children have been killed because the adults who beget them suddenly found them to be, um, inconvenient.

President-elect Obama has vowed that on his first day in office he will sign a law to take away any shred of protection for pre-born persons.

Pray. Pray every day. Pray every day until President-elect Obama becomes President Obama – that Congress will not hand him any such law to sign.

Deliberately killing human beings

Killing men and babies

Letter to the editor;

You probably think this is going to be a flaming polemical against abortion.

Actually, I am very much in favor of a certain variety of abortion.

Some men are so awfully evil that the only reasonable way to deal with them is to “cancel their birth certificates” and RETROACTIVELY abort them.

(Wow! Even from way back here, I can see the hackles rising on the politically-correct. There seems to be a correlation coefficient of about zero-point-nine between those who favor abortion and those who oppose capital punishment.)

Well, I also oppose capital punishment -- of two varieties: When the guilt of the defendant is not actually, truly, “proven beyond a reasonable doubt” – and when the “defendant” is too young to have done the crime, or even too young to be born, and is sentenced to death merely for being inconvenient.

We don’t need a Constitutional Amendment to take care of this. We already have the Fourteenth Amendment, which says that no State shall deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws. That is, we are all to be protected by law from being murdered – including those who are not yet born.

As for capital punishment, the same Amendment says no State shall deprive any person of life, liberty or property without due process of law. That indicates that States may deprive murderers of life, but only after due process of law. See? Retroactive abortion.
