It will not always be easy for us
Letter to the editor;
The ancient Roman Empire was finished when wolves prowled in down-town Rome.
“But that was then and this is now. It just can’t happen in these modern times.” (Oh?!)
Some people know how to make whiskey, and some know how to make black powder.
We had all better learn how to grow grain and beans and corn and squash and tomatoes.
It will not be enough to patch our old clothes: We had better learn to spin and weave as well, or get used to wearing only the shreds of mop-rags thrown away by the poor.
In short, we can look forward to a New Great Depression that will be the gift of God to turn us toward a revival of American values.
By the Grace of God, the coming Great Depression will last until --
-- the Politically-Correct learn that evil actions MUST be harshly rejected;
-- Environmentalists learn that all our needs must be taken from the environment;
-- Leftists learn that government produces exactly NOTHING -- and that we can expect from government much less than it takes away from us first.
-- hedonists learn that food, shelter and clothing come before sex, booze and drugs;
-- the guys who hang around street-corners, leaning on lamp posts and annoying passers-by, learn that they must work or starve;
-- the violent-crime boys repent and work for their keep, or are maimed or killed by their intended victims;
-- lawyers learn that there is more to the Law than their slimy, dishonest, vile, sneaky end-runs around truth and justice; and MAINLY,
-- we learn ALL God knew what He was talking about when He said, "Thou shalt NOT . . . "
